(Isaiah 40:28-31)
Rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Romans 5:1-2)
"The nature of Christ's salvation is woefully misrepresented by the present-day evangelist. He announces a Savior from Hell rather than a Savior from sin. And that is why so many are fatally deceived, for there are multitudes who wish to escape the Lake of fire who have no desire to be delivered from their carnality and worldliness."
~A.W. Pink
The loneliness of the Christian results from his walk with God in an ungodly world, a walk that must often take him away from the fellowship of good Christians as well as from that of the unregenerate world. His God-given instincts cry out for companionship with others of his kind, others who can understand his longings, his aspirations, his absorption in the love of Christ; and because within his circle of friends there are so few who share his inner experiences he is forced to walk alone.
The unsatisfied longings of the prophets for human understanding caused them to cry out in their complaint, and even our Lord Himself suffered in the same way.
The man [or woman] who has passed on into the divine Presence in actual inner experience will not find many who understand him. He finds few who care to talk about that which is the supreme object of his interest, so he is often silent and preoccupied in the midst of noisy religious shoptalk. For this he earns the reputation of being dull and over-serious, so he is avoided and the gulf between him and society widens.
He searches for friends upon whose garments he can detect the smell of myrrh and aloes and cassia out of the ivory palaces, and finding few or none he, like Mary of old, keeps these things in his heart.
It is this very loneliness that throws him back upon God. His inability to find human companionship drives him to seek in God what he can find nowhere else."

Wow, Leah, what beautiful pictures!!! I just love the blossoms on those crab apple trees and I always drive slowly to admire them when I'm out and about. :)
It looks like you have all been very busy lately! Have you started planting tomatoes yet?
Sam made a small garden for me by the house and then our other garden behind the garage has been cut in half and I hope to plant some things there too where there is lots of sun. It just feels like it's been too cold to plant and I hope I still have time to get some veggies planted! :)
Praise God for the baby saved this week! It always fills Sam and me with joy when we hear about a baby being spared. Thank you, Lord!
Sam and I have signed up for the Walk for Life event. Hopefully we'll see you there? I will have to find someone to watch our kids for a few hours that day but if not, then at least one of us will go.
It has been way too long since we've all been together! Maybe we could come out and visit you all some evening soon. Have a wonderful week, Leah! Oh and please tell your mother hello and thank her for her comments on my blog. I always love to hear from you both! :)
Thank you Lesley, it is good to hear from you! I actually hope to plant tomatoes this evening. We would love to have you all come over! I have your plants ready, maybe you can get them when you come (that will hopefully guarantee that you come soon!:)
Yes, we were very excited about the baby save, I hope to write a post about it, but have to find the time. Even now I have to run back to the garden to finish planting onions.....
Love in Christ,
Leah
