Rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Romans 5:1-2)
"The nature of Christ's salvation is woefully misrepresented by the present-day evangelist. He announces a Savior from Hell rather than a Savior from sin. And that is why so many are fatally deceived, for there are multitudes who wish to escape the Lake of fire who have no desire to be delivered from their carnality and worldliness."
~A.W. Pink
The loneliness of the Christian results from his walk with God in an ungodly world, a walk that must often take him away from the fellowship of good Christians as well as from that of the unregenerate world. His God-given instincts cry out for companionship with others of his kind, others who can understand his longings, his aspirations, his absorption in the love of Christ; and because within his circle of friends there are so few who share his inner experiences he is forced to walk alone.
The unsatisfied longings of the prophets for human understanding caused them to cry out in their complaint, and even our Lord Himself suffered in the same way.
The man [or woman] who has passed on into the divine Presence in actual inner experience will not find many who understand him. He finds few who care to talk about that which is the supreme object of his interest, so he is often silent and preoccupied in the midst of noisy religious shoptalk. For this he earns the reputation of being dull and over-serious, so he is avoided and the gulf between him and society widens.
He searches for friends upon whose garments he can detect the smell of myrrh and aloes and cassia out of the ivory palaces, and finding few or none he, like Mary of old, keeps these things in his heart.
It is this very loneliness that throws him back upon God. His inability to find human companionship drives him to seek in God what he can find nowhere else."

Oiy, we got hit with snow a few days ago (about 2-3 inches) but it's already pretty much melted, and only a flew flurries this morning that didn't stick. Hope that's not coming my way :S
It's actually quite beautiful, but at this time of year, I'm sure you're getting tired of it. I hope that your indoor seedlings are coming along!
So good to hear from you Shannon. I also hope this is the last of the snow, it's time for spring!
It is great to hear from you as well Breda! I also was thinking about the beauty of the snow, but green is now my color of choice for the out-of doors! :)
Yesterday I put the seedlings under grow lights, we are very much looking forward to gardening this year.
Hi Leah! I'm enjoying your pictures! I am anxious for spring too and am wondering if we'll have any more snow storms before it's officially summer.
I have your Pilgrim's Progress CD's ready to give back to you anytime you'd like to come get them. I am SO SORRY we've had them for SO long! Please forgive me and thank you so much for sharing them with us! :)
How is your grandma? And your mom and everyone else? Hope you are all well. It would be fun to get together sometime soon. Maybe you could come over for dinner sometime. We'd love to see you all.
I am hoping for a garden again this year but we are making some changes and it may have to be smaller. I think the reason so many things died last year is because they didn't get adequate sunlight being behind the garage. There is still a small section, though that I hope to salvage so I can at least plant a few things.
We are doing well and Christian is starting to crawl. He's getting so big!
Anyway, I've rambled on long enough here. God bless you, Leah and hope to talk to you soon!
Love in Christ,
Lesley
Thank you Lesley, I am seeing many signs of spring now and it is very exciting!
Don't worry about the Pilgrim's Progress CDs, I am so glad you were able to listen to them.
We would love to get together with you all as well...We'll give you a call.
It is sad to lose garden space, but I understand the problem and I am sure you are right. There are a few things that actually like shade... anyway, we can still give you the tomato and pepper plants if you would like and if they grow. I am having a time of it trying to get them started, they keep dying!
I am still reading your blog and enjoying the pictures of your growing children, there just does not seem to be time to comment very often. We are still praying for you all and love you! and miss you!
Love in Christ, the most Loving One,
Leah
